Mushroom photography: Wolf's Milk Slime
The last couple of weeks I am walking a lot in the woods. I get up very early to be one of the fist. Sometimes I am even to late and I see people walking with baskets full with mushrooms. Luckily I am not only taking images of the mushrooms you can eat. I like to look for all kind of fungi's. These are hard to find and sometimes you have to creep on the floor to look for special species.
Like the other day I was looking at some wet tree trunks when I saw some funny pink balls. They look like gummy balls but when you touch them they are slimy and very fragile.
Because of there size (not more then 1 or 2 cm) and there location it was quite a challenge to capture them in a nice composition. Even when I put myself flat on the floor the beanbag was to high. So I removed my ball head from the tripod and put it on the floor. Used my timer, 150 Sigma lens and a reflector screen (silver) to provided me some natural light.
