Mushroom photography: Stinkhorn

Stinkhorn| Phallus impudicus
Maybe the smelliest mushroom I know. The odor of the Stinkhorn can carry over many meters and it is sometimes difficult to track the it down. But I was 'lucky' in the middle of an open space in the wood I saw this Stinkhorn. It was very fresh and the insects loved the honeycomb-like cap, covered with greenish spore mass.
For me it was less nice to put my nose to close to it so I took my distance.
The funny thing was that when I came back to the same spot after proximately 2 hours the top was a kind of whitish, the green layer was eaten up. (see image)
These images are taken with two kinds of lenses: 150 sigma macro lens and 300 mm L4 Canon lens. I used some ext. tubes and a small reflector.
