Mushroom & Fungus time!

Fomitopsis pinicole | polypore sweat
Today after a very long time I finally planned a whole morning for photography. The farmhouse I moved into last November is asking lots of renovation and decorating time. The good news is that the house is now live-able and I will plan more photography trips and will focus on my workshops for next year. So stay tuned.
The bad news is that my camera broke down during one of my workshops this summer. So can you believe this, my favorite time of the year is arriving and I don't have a good camera body. Hopefully I can purchase a canon 5D mark II early October.
Luckily I am not totally out of digital camera bodies, I can choose between a 20D and 400D so I still can go out and shoot some images.
For todays trip I took the 400D because of the light wight and small size. It is mushroom and Fungus time so I got up early and was at 08.00 in the woods. In France you have to be one of the first otherwise there are no mushrooms left to capture anymore. People over here eat them at home or sell them on the local markets.
There were not that many mushrooms today because of the cold weather, while I was walking (at a hight from APR. 1000 meter) it was only 6 degrees.
But I found some wood cauliflowers (Sparassis crispa)and a fungi with lots of drops. No idea what the last one is but I liked it (First image update: Fomitopsis pinicole | polypore sweat, thanks Steve from NSN).
This week I will go back after some warm days and rain.

Nice and weird at the same time ! Great catch !
Hier ook te weinig tijd voor fotografie. Gelukkig kon ik van jouw paddestoelen smullen!
